Job Title: Carpenter-New EntrantEmployer: Kanestruction Limited T/A The Attic ManLocations: Unit 225 Block C Park 2, Blanchardstown, Dublin, Republic Of IrelandContract Duration: 24 MonthsWorking Hours: 39 Hours per WeekAnnual Salary: €46,000Job DescriptionKanestruction Limited T/A The Attic Man is looking for a motivated New Entrant Carpenter to join our team specialising in residential attic conversions, carpentry and interior finishing works.This position is suitable for someone with basic carpentry knowledge or informal practical experience who is looking to start a career in the trade. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced tradespeople and receive practical on-the-job training and supervision while developing their carpentry skills.Key Responsibilities•    Assist with reading drawings and specifications to understand carpentry requirements.•    Measure, cut and prepare timber and other materials using hand and power tools under supervision.•    Assist with assembling and installing timber frames and wooden structures for attic conversion projects.•    Support the installation of doors, door frames, skirting boards and timber fittings.•    Assist with timber flooring, staircase components and interior finishing works.•    Help align, fit and secure timber components using appropriate carpentry techniques.•    Check measurements and accuracy using measuring tapes, squares and spirit levels.•    Assist with repairs and maintenance of woodwork and fittings.•    Keep tools, materials and work areas clean and organised.•    Follow site safety procedures and instructions from experienced tradespeople.Job Requirements•    No formal carpentry qualification required.•    Prior basic carpentry exposure is advantageous but not essential.•    Willingness to learn and develop practical carpentry skills.•    Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.•    Basic awareness of construction site safety and PPE is desirable.•    Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.The successful candidate will receive practical guidance and on-the-job training from experienced tradespeople, with responsibilities gradually increasing as skills and confidence develop.Apply Via Email: laurengilbert@theatticman.ie
