Company Description: Art House Astoria Conservatory For Music and Art is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Queens, NY. Our mission is to bring high-quality, affordable visual and performing arts education for all ages and abilities to Astoria and the surrounding Queens area. We provide a joyful and supportive environment for individuals to explore and develop their artistic passions. Role Description: This is a part-time on-site role for a Drums/Guitar/Piano Teacher at Art House Astoria Conservatory For Music and Art. The Music Teacher will be responsible for teaching private lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, providing individualized instruction, assessing student progress, and preparing students for performances and recitals. Qualifications Proficiency in Music Performance Strong knowledge of Music Theory and Music Education Experience teaching drums, piano, and guitar and working with students of varying skill levels Passion for music and the ability to inspire and motivate students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans Experience with performance and recital preparation Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff Bachelor's degree in Music or related field (preferred) Experience with other instruments or music genres (beneficial) STARTING RATE: $38/HOUR for Private Lessons Art House Astoria is an equal opportunity employer.
