Independent Contractor | Part-Time | Remote About Dreamzilla Dreamzilla is a national nonprofit with a big mission: to empower neurodivergent people to be their biggest, baddest selves. We're building an organization where neurodivergent people help shape the opportunities available to them. We believe in listening, learning, and creating opportunities together. About the Opportunity Dreamzilla is seeking a creative, resourceful contractor to organize and implement our outreach activities. The work will help us expand our reach and build meaningful relationships with neurodivergent young adults, community organizations, and potential partners. This is a contract opportunity of up to 60 hours for someone who enjoys connecting with people, discovering new possibilities, and helping a growing organization turn ideas into action. The individual will work with Dreamzilla's Executive Director to develop and implement outreach strategies that increase awareness, encourage participation, and create opportunities for collaboration. Scope of Work Community Outreach and Engagement Identify and connect with neurodivergent young adults and communities across the country. Develop outreach approaches that invite participation in Dreamzilla's programs and activities. Build relationships with organizations, networks, and individuals who share our interests and values. Support outreach for new programs, community projects, and special initiatives. Gather feedback and insights to help Dreamzilla better understand the interests and aspirations of potential participants. Partnership Development Initiate conversations and explore opportunities for collaboration. Expand on an organized pipeline of outreach contacts and partnership opportunities. Coordinate introductions and follow-up communications. Help identify resources and opportunities that support participant-led projects. Outreach Communications Develop and adapt outreach messages for different audiences. Support email campaigns, community announcements, and other outreach activities. Identify relevant online communities, events, and networks where Dreamzilla can connect with potential participants and partners. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to promote participation opportunities. Ensure outreach materials reflect Dreamzilla's commitment to accessibility, choice, and respectful communication. Planning and Coordination Develop an outreach work plan with clear priorities and measurable deliverables. Establish record-keeping of contacts, conversations, and follow-up activities. Provide regular updates on outreach progress and emerging opportunities. Recommend improvements based on feedback and experience. What We're Looking For We're interested in someone who brings curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in building community. Ideal qualifications include: Experience in community outreach, relationship building, partnership development, or related work. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Experience connecting with diverse communities and organizations. Familiarity with neurodivergent communities and disability inclusion, or a demonstrated commitment to learning. Comfort using digital communication and project management tools. Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to try new approaches. We especially welcome applicants with lived experience of neurodivergence.
