Security Guard (Full Time)

We protect residential, commercial, retirement and construction sites across the region. We're growing, and we're looking for reliable, professional guards to join our team. About the Role An RTS Security Guard has completed all required online and in-person training, passed background checks, and is ready for duty in field or dress uniform as set out in the RTS Standard Operating Procedures. Your main job is protecting a site from a fixed post. The duties below are the minimum. Each site's Post Orders may add more duties, and those are also part of the job. Key Responsibilities * Identify, monitor and report security threats on site through the chain of command * Patrol assigned areas on foot to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing and fire * Enforce site rules to keep order and resolve conflicts * Make sure site safety and emergency procedures are followed * Respond quickly to fire alarms, threats and emergencies * Follow radio, emergency telephone and site protocols * Write daily DOR shift reports and incident reports clearly and accurately Requirements * Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (required) * Valid CPR (Level C) and First Aid certification (required) * Completed Health and Safety Awareness training, such as Ontario's *Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps* (required) * Available for night and overnight shifts (required) * 6 months to 1 year of security experience (1 year preferred) * Valid driver's licence (preferred) * Strong written and verbal English * Professional appearance and a dependable attendance record What We Offer * **Pay:** $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and site * Full-time and part-time hours * Permanent positions with room to grow at a growing company * Training on site procedures and RTS standards Shift Availability * Night shift (required) * Overnight shift (required) * Day shift (preferred) Application Questions * Do you hold a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence?
