**WE’RE HIRING** **Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic** Mobile Field Service | Victoria, BC **Pay** $50/hr starting, up to $70+/hr based on experience and tooling **Location** Victoria, BC — on-site work throughout the Capital Regional District **Truck** Fully equipped service truck that you take home **Perks** Benefits, overtime, tool allowance and cell phone allowance **About the Role** Uptime Repair Ltd. is growing, and we’re looking for a **Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic** to join our great team. You’ll run your own service truck, doing on-site repairs and maintenance on all makes and models of heavy equipment and commercial transport vehicles — in the field and in customer shops across the beautiful Capital Regional District. You’ll often be working on your own, so **safety is our top priority**. You’re never unsupported: you’ll have backup from the team in the field, specialized tooling, and a laptop with diagnostic software, all on a fully equipped truck. This job suits someone who is self-motivated and organized. Regular performance reviews and wage adjustments mean your pay keeps pace with the work you do. **What You’ll Do** ■ Diagnose and repair engines ■ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems ■ Carry out the full range of repairs on heavy- and medium-duty commercial trucks ■ Perform scheduled maintenance at manufacturer-recommended intervals on trucks and equipment ■ Repair A/C systems ■ Rebuild hydraulic cylinders ■ Weld and fabricate ■ Use the mobile crane safely to remove heavy and hard-to-reach components ■ Complete pre-trip inspections on your service truck ■ Write clear, complete service reports ■ Communicate well with customers, operators and co-workers **What You Bring** **Required** ■ Red Seal Heavy Duty certification ■ Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract ■ Hands-on ability across the duties listed above **Preferred (or willing to obtain)** ■ Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement ■ CVI inspector certification ■ 5 to 10+ years of heavy duty experience **What We Offer** ■ **Competitive pay**: $50/hr to start, up to $70+/hr ■ **Overtime** available ■ **Benefits** package ■ **Tool allowance** ■ **Cell phone allowance** ■ **Take-home service truck** ■ **Specialized tooling and a laptop** with diagnostic software ■ **Regular reviews** with wage adjustments **How to Apply** Send your resume to **resumes.uptimerepair@gmail.com** Questions about the role Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $50.00-$70.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off Work Location: In person
