Owner Operator – Ontario/Quebec Mid-West Short-Haul Cross-Border We are looking for reliable and experienced **Owner Operators** for short-haul cross-border routes between Ontario, Quebec, and the U.S. Midwest. Pay & Premiums * **Canadian miles:** $1.303/mile * **U.S. miles:** $1.503/mile * Refrigerated live load/unload: $60 * Other live load/unload: $40 * U.S. Southbound premium: $0.07/mile * BC mileage premium: $0.05/mile * Refrigerated load premium: $0.01/mile * FAST Card premium: $0.01/book mile (eligible U.S. loads) * Loaded border crossing: $8 * NYCBOR dispatch: $50 * Layover after 24 hours: $50 * Authorized work time: $35/hour * Tridem trailer/chassis: Additional $0.10/mile on single-trailer miles What We Offer * Semi-monthly direct deposit – **no holdback** * Fuel subsidy paid per mile * $330 after completing 3-day orientation * $100 U.S. float for approved road expenses * Company fuel cards and EZ Pass/Customs Transponder * Company-paid decals and satellite installation * Safe Driving Rewards and Referral Bonus Programs * Passenger Program Fuel Costs Our fuel subsidy targets a net fuel cost of: * Highway Owner Operators: $0.26/mile (historical average: $0.22/mile) * Turnpike Owner Operators: $0.3345/mile Monthly Owner Operator Expenses * Licensing & Insurance: $725/month * Ontario Personal Injury Coverage (NAL): $154.71/month * Vehicle tax (PVT): Based on truck year and registration month Truck Requirements * Working DEF system required (pre-emission engines not accepted) * Maximum truck weight: 20,500 lbs.
