This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for First Nation culture, a desire for continuing professional development, and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Transport clients in the Edmonton Metro area with out-of-town driving * Provide exceptional customer service to our clients * Must follow all transportation safety rules and regulations * Must clean vehicle daily, and report any problems with vehicle as necessary * Must ensure vehicle is equipped with an emergency aide at all times * Must take direction from clerks as to coordination of trip schedule * Filling out and handing in daily log books, inspection reports and trip sheets * Assisting clients and Elders in and out of vehicle safely and securely * Assisting clients and Elders with wheelchairs, luggage, strollers, etc. * Be willing to work various shifts as needed (days, evenings, graveyards, weekends) * Must be willing to work the Athabasca Run with rotational shifts every two weeks * Must be available on short notice * Other duties as required **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Must have good verbal and written communication skills * Must be organized and have good time management skills * Must be able to work independently; take initiative when necessary and be a team player **Education and Experience:** * High School Education * MUST HAVE – Valid Class 1, 2 or 4 Driver’s license * Able to speak and understand the Cree language is an asset * Standard First Aid/CPR (current) **Benefits:** * Competitive Salary Salary is dependent on qualifications. ***Applications Must Include:*** *Cover Letter, Resume, Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Current Child & Youth Intervention Check, Current Driver’s 5-year abstract, along with 3 work related reference.* **Bigstone Group of Companies** **Human Resources Department** **Box 1020 Wabasca, Alberta T0G 2K0** **Fax: 780-891-2623 |** **Email to:** **bhcresumes@bigstonehealth.ca** Closing Date for this Employment Opportunity will be: ***Until a suitable candidate is found.*** ***POSTED ON November 5, 2026*** Applicants are thanked in advance for their interest however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
