Bioinformatic Ingenieer in immunology

The AI2B laboratory, led by M. Mahévas and P. Chappert, studies B-cell immune responses in both physiological and pathological settings. As part of the ERC-funded project DIPP-IMMUNE, we are looking for a bioinformatician to join the team. The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis of singlecell RNA-seq and Xenium spatial transcriptomic data from human samples, as well as immunoglobulin (BCR repertoire) sequencing data, an area in which the laboratory has extensive expertise. Working closely with the lab’s postdoctoral researchers and PhD students, they will take ownership of the existing analysis pipelines, maintain and extend them to support upcoming developments and integrate new methods from the scientific literature tailored to the needs of individual project leaders. INEM is a leading biomedical research institute supported by INSERM, CNRS and Université Paris Cité, and located on the Necker campus alongside the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital and the Imagine Institute. Researchers benefit from access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including imaging, genomics, histology, flow cytometry, bioinformatics and proteomics platforms. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in bioinformatics, computer science or applied mathematics. Proven experience in bioinformatics applied to genomic or transcriptomic data, ideally at the single-cell level. Excellent programming skills in R; working knowledge of Python and good knowledge of analysis pipelines for genomic data, BCR repertoires (IgBLAST, IMGT, Immcantation), scRNA-seq (Seurat) and spatial transcriptomic. Strong organizational skills and ability to present scientific results clearly and concisely. Genuine interest in biological questions and ability to work closely with biologists. Team player, good listener and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
