**Position Overview:**
Jacobson Commercial Ltd. is seeking an experienced Red Seal Carpenter with strong construction site supervision and leadership skills to oversee daily operations on commercial construction projects. This hands-on role combines carpentry expertise with leadership, scheduling, safety oversight, and quality control.
**Job Duties:**
* Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and daily site activities
* Monitor schedules, milestones, materials, and equipment
* Enforce safety requirements and maintain an organized worksite
* Inspect workmanship for compliance with plans, codes, and standards
* Resolve site issues, delays, deficiencies, and material shortages
* Maintain daily logs and communicate progress to the Project Manager
* Perform hands-on carpentry as required
**Skills, Abilities and Experience:**
* Red Seal Carpenter certification
* Commercial construction experience
* Previous site-supervision or crew-leadership experience
* Valid Class 5 driver’s license
* Ability to interpret blueprints and construction specifications
* Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
* Basic computer and site-documentation skills
* Ability to work outdoors, accommodate extended hours, and lift 50–75 lbs
* First Aid/CPR and construction safety training are assets
