Our Email Security team develops and operates the platform behind it: filtering spam, malware, and fraudulent emails across large volumes of email traffic while ensuring high availability across multiple data centers worldwide. Over the years, the platform has evolved. Some services run on Kubernetes, others on traditional Linux hosts, and certain components are ready for the next generation. As a Senior Software Engineer, you take ownership of your own services, primarily developed in Python and partly in Java. You contribute your technical expertise to decisions about the further development and modernization of our platform. You tackle technical debt step by step with a long-term perspective. You keep track of your responsibilities and see initiatives through to completion. Through thorough code reviews and your way of working, you set an example for other developers and support their professional development. **Key Resonsibilities:** * Take ownership of selected services within our Email Security platform, particularly regarding architecture, implementation, quality, and operational stability * Analyze and further develop existing services while identifying opportunities for modernization, consolidation, and decommissioning * Identify, prioritize, and gradually reduce technical debt in close collaboration with the Product Owner, while ensuring uninterrupted platform operations * Ensure high development standards through t
