The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is an international boarding school with a history stretching back over 120 years, located near St. Moritz in the heart of the scenic Engadin valley (Switzerland). 220 boarders from around the world and 110 local day students study at our school for the Swiss Matura, the IGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). We are looking for an enthusiastic person **(female)** to join as a **Houseparent** --------------- Start date: February 2027 Workload: 80 – 100% The position will suit candidates who enjoy the challenge of working with bright and inquisitive international students, aged 12 -19 (grades 7 to 12). The position forms part of the boarding team, working closely with the Head and Deputy Head of House to ensure the highest standards of care and support for our students. **Your tasks:** * Serve as a visible role model for Lyceum Alpinum values in all aspects of the running of the boarding house * Be responsible for the pastoral guidance and support of boarders during duty times * Create a safe, well-ordered, warm and friendly environment * Support boarders in their academic and co-curricular activities * Ensure behaviour in line with school and house rules * Communicate with parents and all stakeholders at the school * Organise and actively contribute to boarding activities in the evenings and at weekends * Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld at all times **Your profile:** * Experience working with young people in a residential setting * Minimum 3 - 5 years of working experience * High level of social competence and empathy, strong communicative skills, strong sense of responsibility and teamwork * EU/EFTA citizenship is an advantage * English language communication skills of minimum B2 level, other language skills are an advantage **We offer:** * Attractive conditions of employment * Salary CHF 61’100.00 - CHF 95’940.00 per year * A dynamic international context in the spectacular alpine setting of the Engadin at 1718 meters above sea level. * Career development through opportunities for professional learning and advancement for the right candidate * This is a non-residential role, however support with finding accommodation can be offered.
