Journeyman Carpenter

The position is based out of **Calgary, AB** but our work radius extends to the surrounding counties. **McKenna Construction Limited** is a carpentry contractor focused on craftmanship, quality, and accountability. Our projects range from post-frame shops and structures to residential interior and exterior finishing. Versatility is a required skill for all applicants. This position is for those who consistently demonstrate the following qualities: * Punctuality * Versatility * Accountability * Creative * Collaberative * Adaptable * Dependable The position requires the applicant to perform the following responsibilities: * Read and interpret project plans accurately * Measure, cut, and install materials with a high degree of attention * Communicate effectively with co-workers * Operate hand and power tools safely * Assist in the training of apprentices * Maintain strict safety requirements * Show up ready to work, learn, and thrive **Skills required:** Five (5) years minimum of relevant residential construction. Journeyman Ticket is preferred but not required if relevant construction experience can be demonstrated. **Compensation:** * Base Wage **$28-42/hr** depending on experience. ($39-42/hr reserved for those ready to immediately lead a crew of 3-4 apprentices and carpenters) * Fuel Cards for work and personal after six months employment while maintaining 90% of deliverables (To Be Discussed). * Performance Based Incentive Bonuses depending on position and deliverables achieved. * Profit Sharing based on projects completed.
