Care Professional (Health Care Aide / Personal Support Worker / Caregiver)

HomeFree is hiring **Care Professionals** to support clients in southwest Calgary. You’ll work with the same clients on a set rotating schedule, which lets you build real relationships with the people you support. Your work will include personal care, help with daily activities, light housekeeping, cooking, and companionship. You’ll often be the only member of the care team in the home during your shift, so you need to be self-motivated and comfortable working independently. You won’t be on your own, though. Every Care Professional is supported by a dedicated Care Manager and HomeFree’s clinical team. **Compensation** * $25 - 27 per hour, with structured wage increases over time **Schedule** * 12-hour day shifts, 8 AM to 8 PM, on a two-week rotation * Week 1: Thursday and Friday * Week 2: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday * Opportunities with other HomeFree clients may be available **Requirements** * Health Care Aide (HCA) certification **OR** minimum of 1-2 years of caregiving experience * Strong English communication skills **Key Responsibilities** * Assist with personal care and daily living activities * Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping * Offer companionship and help clients stay engaged in activities they enjoy * Watch for changes in a client’s health, mood, or behaviour, and report concerns promptly to your Care Manager * Complete shift notes using HomeFree’s mobile app (training provided) * Respect each client’s privacy, dignity, independence, and home **Assets (strongly preferred, but not required)** * Light housekeeping and cooking experience * A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle * Experience supporting people with autism **About You** You're a strong fit if you: * Are self-motivated and comfortable working on your own * Are dependable, trustworthy, and professional * Communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully * Know when to ask for help or escalate a concern **About HomeFree** HomeFree is a physician-led homecare company.
