*(ref. BAP-2026-647)*
*Laatst aangepast: 06/11/26*
We offer a 2 year postdoc position funded by the FWO project "Symmetries in geometric deformation problems". The principal investigators are Marco Zambon and Miquel Cueca. The project is concerned with deformations of certain geometric structures related to Poisson geometry (Lie subalgebroids, Dirac structures, Lagrangian Q-manifolds, complex structures and complex Lie subalgebroids); in particular, it investigates and compares the various notions of equivalence of deformations that arise.
The research interests of the candidate should have an overlap with these topics.
The members of the KU Leuven geometry section work on topics related to Poisson/symplectic geometry on one side, and to Riemannian geometry and submanifold theory on the other.
KU Leuven, situated in a historic university town, features an excellent mathematics department providing a stimulating research environment.
##### **Responsibilities**
Develop your research program in the geometry section of the KU Leuven department of mathematics, on topics related to the deformation theory of geometric structures.
Contribute to the research activities of the geometry section (seminars, workshops), carry out moderate teaching duties, which may include lectures/exercise sessions, organizing student seminars, supervising bachelor or master theses,..
##### **Profile**
