**A rare opportunity to learn operations from the ground up and develop into a Project Manager.**
At Horst Systems, we’re not just building grain bins — *we’re building people*. People who thrive on challenge, who take pride in pushing their limits, and who know that what they do keeps food flowing, crops protected, and communities strong.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an organized, proactive **Operations Coordinator** who wants to build a career in construction, field operations and project management. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers, coordinate crews and resources, and gain hands-on exposure to the planning and execution of projects across our operations.
Reporting to a Project Manager, you'll play an important role in keeping projects organized, crews informed, and materials and equipment ready. You'll work closely with Project Managers, foremen, warehouse personnel and field teams to help ensure work gets done safely, efficiently and on schedule.
*This role is designed for someone who wants to learn, take on increasing responsibility and develop the skills needed to progress toward a Project Manager position*. If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, keeping things moving and seeing the results of your work, we'd like to meet you.
**What you'll be doing:**
As the Operations Coordinator, you'll provide coordination and administrative support across our construction, grain bin, concrete and millwrighting operations, including:
*Coordinating Field Operations:* Assist with crew scheduling, job-start preparation, project updates and communication between Project Managers, foremen and field crews.
*Managing Materials & Equipment:* Help coordinate shipping, receiving, material staging, deliveries, returns and equipment requirements to ensure crews have what they need.
*Supporting Project Management:* Maintain project files, schedules, work orders and documentation; assist with labour and material tracking, job costing and project status reporting.
*Planning Resources & Workloads*: Help monitor upcoming jobs, crew availability, equipment requirements and scheduling conflicts to support effective operational planning.
*Supporting Safety & Compliance:* Assist with job hazard assessments and required safety documentation, ensuring outstanding requirements and concerns are communicated promptly.
*Communicating & Following Through:* Keep project information current, follow up on outstanding items, identify potential issues and ensure the right people have the information they need.
