**About the Studio** The Tailor in St. Jacobs is a custom sewing studio focused on high-quality tailoring, alterations, repairs, and custom pieces. Every garment that comes through the door matters - and so does the person wearing it. Client Experience is matched with the precision of our work. This is a rapidly growing business where every stitch counts (literally and figuratively). I’m looking someone who has experience sewing, preferably in this field. Someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to be part of building something meaningful. **What You’ll Be Doing** * Assisting with garment alterations (hemming, taking in/out, basic adjustments) * Performing repairs (zippers, seam fixes, general mending) * Prepping garments (pinning, pressing, finishing) * Supporting Client fittings and Pickups, and advising fit. * Helping keep the studio organized and running smoothly **What I’m Looking For** * Sewing skills (machine + hand sewing) * Experience with garments, alterations and preparation * A willingness to learn and grow (I’m happy to train and teach the right person) * Attention to detail—you notice the small things * Comfortable working independently and taking initiative **Schedule** * Flexible part-time hours * Must be available at least 3-4 days per week * Some evening and Saturday availability is required. **Applications** To apply, please email thetailorinstjacobs@gmail.com with your resume, a brief overview of your sewing / employment experience, and your availability.
