Estimator – Building Automation System (BAS)

We’re hiring a full-time, in-office Building Automation System (BAS) Estimator based in Calgary, AB. At Serv-All, our values of being Reliable, Responsible, and Respectful are more than words — they define how we operate every day and what we expect from every team member. **Work Schedule:** * Monday to Friday * 40 – 44 hours per week * 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Flexible) * Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines **Responsibilities:** * Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for building automation and control system projects * Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents * Perform take-offs for controls, low-voltage systems, and related electrical components * Coordinate with estimating manager, branch & project managers, technicians, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop project pricing * Source and price materials, equipment, and labor requirements * Assist with budgeting, project planning, and value engineering opportunities * Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and customers * Ensure estimates align with project scope, customer requirements, and company standards * Support handoff meetings between estimating and project execution teams **Qualifications:** * Experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, electrical estimating, or related industries * Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and low-voltage electrical systems * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities * Journeyperson Electrician certification or technical background in controls/HVAC is considered an asset * Valid driver’s license required **Preferred Assets:** * Experience with BAS platforms and control systems * BAS Estimating experience * Knowledge of Alberta Construction Tendering Processes * Familiarity with industry standards and codes **What we offer:** * Competitive wages with performance based incentives * Comprehensive health benefit package (health, dental, vision) * Up to 5 paid personal days * Retention bonuses * Employee appreciation events * Company supported training and development * Relaxed casual dress code Apply through the Serv-All Careers page **https://serv-all.ca/career/estimator-building-automation-system-bas/** or send your resume to **kcagan@serv-all.ca** Benefits: * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Life insurance * Mileage reimbursement * On-site parking * Paid time off * RRSP match * Vision care Work Location: In person
