**O**Experienced Carpenter – Framing, Siding & Decks **Company:** Deckhaus Inc. **Location:** Ottawa, ON **Job Type:** Full-time **Pay:** $33.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level Job Description Deckhaus Inc. is hiring a skilled, dependable, and experienced carpenter to join our growing team in Ottawa. We specialize in residential and commercial carpentry, with a strong focus on structural framing, exterior siding, and custom deck construction. We are looking for a competent, self-sufficient carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship, understands proper construction practices, and can complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities * Residential and commercial wood framing, including walls, floors, roofs, and additions * Installation of exterior siding, strapping, weather barriers, and cladding systems * Construction of decks, stairs, railings, and exterior structures * Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings * Accurate measuring, layout, cutting, and installation * Identifying and resolving construction challenges on site * Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity, and job site safety * Working independently or as part of a crew to meet project deadlines Qualifications & Requirements * Minimum 3–5 years of professional carpentry experience * Proven hands-on experience in framing, siding, and deck construction * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes * Ability to work independently without constant supervision * Own basic carpentry hand tools * Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation * Physically capable of performing construction work * Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and hardworking * **Must reside in Ottawa or within a maximum 20 km radius of the city** Red Seal certification is an asset but not required.
