Centre Director

**About Us** Lakepoint Childcare and Learning Centre is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and enriching environment where children, families and educators thrive. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and hands-on Childcare Centre Director to lead our team, oversee daily operations and work closely with the owners to bring Lakepoint's vision to life. We are not in a rush to fill this position. We want to find the right person who shares our values, takes pride in their work and is excited to make a meaningful difference. **Responsibilities** * Oversee daily centre operations and ensure compliance with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations. * Actively manage staff-to-child ratios, scheduling, classroom coverage and daily transitions. * Be hands-on and comfortable stepping into classrooms, engaging with children and participating in ratios when required and appropriately qualified. * Work closely with program managers to maintain quality, consistency and accountability. * Mentor, support and develop managers and educators through coaching and ongoing guidance. * Build a positive workplace culture based on teamwork, respect and professionalism. * Develop trusting relationships with parents, communicate effectively and address concerns with care and professionalism. * Work collaboratively with the owners to implement the centre's vision, improve operations and support long-term growth. * Identify challenges, take initiative and follow through on solutions. **What We Are Looking For** * ECEA qualification minimum so that you can be part of ratios when required * Previous leadership or management experience in a licensed childcare setting. * Strong knowledge of BC childcare licensing regulations, ratios and operational requirements. * A hands-on leader who genuinely enjoys working with children and educators. * Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. * Ability to mentor teams, manage challenging situations and make sound decisions. * A positive, approachable and accountable leadership style. **What Makes This Role Special?** This is an opportunity to do more than manage a childcare centre.
