General Farm Worker

**JOB ID: CSA0926AB2** Canadian Swine Academy is recruiting on behalf of Schlegelhome Farms, a family-owned agricultural business, located near Shakespeare, Ontario. We are looking for a General Farm Worker to join the team. **Job Location:** 1614 Perth Line 34, Shakespeare ON N0B 2P0 CANADA **NOC:** 85100 **# of vacancies:** 1 **Terms of Employment:** full time, permanent **Job Duties:** · Assist with spring and fall tillage, field preparation and harvest activities as needed · Feed and tend livestock and poultry · Operate tractors and farm equipment independently once trained · Help with grain handling and machinery, feed-line and barn repairs · Assist with chicken barn cleaning and livestock tasks when needed · Assist with changing farm priorities and projects under supervisor’s direction **Requirements for Application:** · Hardworking, willing to learn, able to take direction and work independently · Able to read, write and speak English · Ability to commute to the work site ; valid drivers license · Flexible hours, including longer days in busy seasons and occasional Saturdays **Work Experience Requirements:** · None, will train · Farm, construction, welding or machinery experience is an asset **Educational Requirements:** · None **Benefits:** · paid statutory holidays · eligibility for annual bonus · healthcare spending account · discounted food **Compensation:** · $20-$26 per hour depending on experience The successful applicant can expect to join a team of devoted individuals, receive lots of training and become engaged in a dynamic industry.
