As a member of the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital Medical (HWMH) Diagnostic Imaging team you will practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as within a client and family centered care model supporting the Vision, Mission and Values of this organization. **Vacancy Status:** The posting is for one (1) current casual vacancy. **Hours of Work:** Days, Evenings and Weekends. *On-call coverage until 08:00 the next morning.* **Hourly Wage:** $38.49 - $53.30 **Duties:** * Perform duties related to the job classification including: * Radiographic and contrast enhanced CT procedures using digital equipment to produce excellent quality images * Carry out procedures in the best interest of optimum client / patient care * Observe all aspects of personal / patient safety * Observe safe radiation protection practices. * Prepare patients for contrast enhanced CT examinations, including IV insertion. * Perform electrocardiograms and Holter*.* * Documenting patient history, ensuring patient identification, setting up and adjusting CT / X-ray equipment. * Documenting modality and departmental supply needs. * Booking appointments, receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the diagnostic imaging information systems. * Participate in professional development, educational activities, on committees/teams and approved projects as assigned. **Qualifications:** ***Required*** * Diploma (Degree) in Medical Radiation Sciences from an accredited institution. * Must be a registered member in good standing of the CMRITO and CAMRT/OAMRS. * Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer Certification. * Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job. * Proven attendance record and satisfactory work performance. * Demonstrates ability to work as a team member, with minimal supervision. * Demonstrates effective time management skills, ability to multi-task and work effectively. * Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Haldimand War Memorial Hospital’s Code of Conduct. * Demonstrates HWMH’s Core Values: *Compassion, Respect, Inclusion, Collaboration & Integrity*. * Demonstrates understanding of, and compliance with, responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and the organization’s health and safety plans, policies and procedures.
