Welder/Fabricator

Welder **Bay Steel Inc. | Holyrood, Newfoundland & Labrador** Bay Steel is seeking experienced welders with carbon and stainless steel pipe welding qualifications and current safety certifications. The role involves a variety of welding, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair work. Materials and duties will vary by project. We’re looking for dependable tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship and work safely. **Responsibilities** * Perform welding on piping, structural steel and fabricated components in accordance with approved procedures, drawings and project specifications. * Prepare materials and joints, and assist with fit-up, alignment and fabrication. * Carry out maintenance, repairs and modifications. * Read and interpret drawings and welding instructions. * Inspect completed work and report defects or quality concerns. * Follow site safety procedures, permit requirements and safe work practices. * Maintain welding equipment, tools and a clean work area. * Work effectively with pipefitters, supervisors and other trades. **Required qualifications** * Relevant welding, fabrication and pipe welding experience. * Carbon and stainless steel pipe welding qualifications. * Current safety certifications applicable to the assigned work. * Ability to follow welding procedures and meet project quality requirements. * Willingness to perform a variety of welding and fabrication duties. * Strong attention to safety, workmanship and reliability. **How to apply** Email **mcorbett@baysteel.ca** with **“Welder Application”** in the subject line.
