The Faculty, which will celebrate its centenary in 2028, has built on its heritage strengths in libraries, archives and museums to incorporate scientific and technological expertise from engineering, computer science, and other disciplines. At the same time, it has committed itself to applying social, political, and cultural perspectives from media arts, humanities, and social science to the study of information, technology, people and the relationships among them.
A top tier school, the Faculty of Information is consistently recognized globally for excellence in Library and Information Management by the QS World University rankings. The QS rankings include both Master’s and PhD level programs.

**Your opportunity:**
The Faculty of Information is committed to expanding access and representation in the information studies by supporting students from high school through to postsecondary education. Through access initiatives such as INFORM (Inclusive Futures in Information), high school students are introduced to emerging fields including data science, user experience design, digital storytelling, library and archival studies, and technology ethics.
These initiatives combine hands-on workshops, mentorship opportunities, campus experiences, educational camps, and community-based collaborations to help students see themselves as innovators, researchers, and future leaders in information and technology. They are designed to engage youth from communities historically underrepresented in higher education—particularly Black, Indigenous, racialized, low-income, 2SLGBTQ+, disabled, and newcomer students—who continue to face systemic barriers to participation in information studies.
Under the direction of the Director, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Coordinator, Access Initiatives & Community Outreach is responsible for the coordination of culturally responsive, supportive, and innovative youth programming and community outreach initiatives including workshops and mentoring programs in high schools and educational camps offered by the Faculty of Information. The role will coordinate current and new community outreach and engagement initiatives by supporting internal and external relationships, resear
