Project Accountant

**Company Overview** Westcor Thermal Inc. Is a leading construction coatings company in Western Canada. We supply and install specialty insulation, fireproofing, spray on coatings as well as spray foam insulation.Westcor is on some of the largest projects in the country. We currently employ over 40 people and still growing. We are looking for an **experienced Project Accountant/ Construction Bookkeeper.** We are willing to train any highly motivated and quick-learning individuals. However We do require a minimum 2 years of experience with the following. **Construction Bookkeeper/ Project Accountant** * **Salary:** **$28-34/h** (based on experience) * **Schedule:** **7:00 AM to 4:00 PM** (include one hour Lunch break) * **Location:** **19272 96 Ave, Surrey BC** **What you will do** * Run full cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online: **A/R, bank reconciliation**s, GL and month end. * **Process monthly progress billing, change orders** **and track lien holdback**., and follow through on **AR collections** * Prepare **Bi-weekly payroll** for office and site workers * **Cost effective Purchasing** and **Inventory managemen**t based on the demand of the ongoing and upcoming projects. * Maintain **monthly billing reports** and send **Updated Stat Dec** to the clients for payment release. * Maintain detailed records of transactions and should be proficient in using accounting software **QuickBooks Online.** * Proficient in **Microsoft Office** and **Excel.** * Some CSR work. * Administrative duties including keep office supplies in stock, Call handling and some front desk operations. **Requirements** * 2 or more years in a construction accounting or similar role * Graduate from Canadian School or college * Strong, hands on QuickBooks Online and Excel skills * Knowledge of Quickbooks software * Experience with Payroll processing. * Real experience with progressive billing; construction experience is a strong asset * Payroll experience, with union payroll a big plus * Good written and spoken English communication skills.
