Head Of Internal Audit

Airport Clinic Limited, situated at the Accra International Airport, seeks applications from a suitably qualified, proactive and enthusiastic person to fill the undermentioned vacancy: Head of Internal Audit Job Purpose The Head of Internal Audit will provide independent and objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the facility's operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and professional standards Key Responsibilities The successful applicant shall: Lead and manage the internal audit function in accordance with applicable professional standards and best practices Develop and implement a risk-based annual internal audit plan for approval by the board. Conduct financial, operational, compliance, information systems and performance audits across the facility Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and performance audits across the facility Assess the effectiveness of risk management and corporate governance processes Ensure compliance with the internal audit agency act, the public financial management act, the public procurement act, relevant directives and other applicable laws and regulations Review the economy, effectiveness of the facility's operations and resource utilisation Investigate suspected fraud, financial irregularities and other improprieties as directed Prepare and present timely audit reports to management and the board Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and report on outstanding issues Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies and other oversight institutions Provide advisory services on internal controls, risk management and governance without compromising independence. Supervise, mentor and develop staff within the internal audit department Qualification Required & Experience Applicants must possess A master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline from a recognised institution Professional membership of the institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICAG), ACCA, CIMA, CPA or an equivalent recognised professional body A minimum 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in internal auditing, external auditing, finance or risk management, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership position Practical knowledge of public sector governance and the regulatory framework applicable to state-owned enterprises will be an added advantage Membership of the institute of internal auditors (IIA Ghana) and possession of the certified internal auditor (CIA) qualification will be an advantage Terms of Appointment The appointment will be on competitive terms and condition of service Location: Accra How To Apply For The Job Interested applicants should submit: A cover letter A detailed curriculum vitae with names and contact details of 3 referees Copies of academic and professional certificates Applications Should Be Addressed And Submitted Personally To Head, Human Resource and Administration Airport Clinic Limited Private Mail Bag Accra International Airport, Accra Alternatively, You May Email Your Application To alexkissi15@yahoo.com Closing Date: 30 November, 2026 <
