Company Description Location - Tema Role Description The International School HR Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana, supporting the HR needs of an international school environment. This role oversees end-to-end recruitment for academic and non-academic staff, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding. The HR Manager manages employee relations, performance management processes, and HR policies to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices. Daily responsibilities include maintaining personnel records, coordinating contracts and benefits, handling HR documentation, and supporting leadership with workforce planning. The role also involves organizing training and professional development initiatives, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and school policies, and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace culture. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong human resources management skills, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. Candidates should possess skills in HR administration such as maintaining personnel records, managing contracts and benefits, and ensuring policy compliance. Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with educators, staff, students’ families, and external partners in a multicultural environment. Candidates should possess organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Candidates should possess familiarity with Ghanaian labor laws and regulations, and an understanding of HR best practices within international or educational settings. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education Management, or a related field is preferred; professional HR certification is an advantage. Previous experience in HR roles, ideally within an international school, educational institution, or service-oriented organization, is highly beneficial.
