Canton of Zurich Health Directorate GD - General Secretariat Scientific Employee Participation Management 80 - 100% The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zurich is committed to providing a high-quality, safe and economically sustainable healthcare service for the population of Zurich. Around 400 employees deal with a wide range of tasks – from hospital planning and veterinary services to the control of medicinal product manufacturing and the analysis of food and chemicals. The General Secretariat supports the Director and takes on cross-sectional tasks for the four offices of the Directorate. To strengthen the Participation Management division in the Policy Department of the General Secretariat, we are looking for a committed and proactive individual as a scientific employee participation management, 80-100%, starting 1 February 2027 or by arrangement. Your Tasks • Representing the ownership interests of the canton and coordinating the corresponding activities with the four cantonal hospitals in collaboration with the division head • Content-related and organisational preparation and follow-up of regular ownership discussions • Analysis and assessment of financial key figures, quarterly reports and other hospital reports • Independent handling of strategic and financial issues as well as preparation of decision-making bases in collaboration with the division head for the General Secretary and the Director • Participation in the further development of the ownership strategy and drafting the annual report on its implementation for the Government Council • Leading and participating in cross-departmental projects related to the cantonal hospitals Your Profile • University degree (preferably at master’s level) or comparable further training and several years of relevant professional experience in finance, controlling, corporate management or participation management • Good understanding of business and political contexts as well as familiarity with the state structure and decision-making processes at the cantonal level • Experience in the public sector and knowledge of the healthcare system are advantageous • Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension and an independent, structured and results-oriented working style • Confident written expression and enjoyment in writing and editing demanding texts • Initiative, communicative and reliable personality with pleasure in coordinating different stakeholders and working in a team Our Offer We offer you a varied and responsible role at the interface of healthcare, finance and politics.
