Primary School Teacher (m/f/d): German-speaking Class Teacher for 3rd and 4th Primary Grade

SIS Schönenwerd Primary School Start date: February 2027 Workload: approx. 70% The SIS Swiss International School Schönenwerd is a small, international school community with around 90 pupils located between Aarau and Olten. We are looking for a highly motivated teacher who cares about children’s learning and is interested in how education can continue to develop. The position is becoming available because our current teacher will be relocating and leaving the school in February 2027. They will be available for a handover so that the new teacher can get to know the class, its routines, and the current learning status. Your responsibilities • As a class teacher, you will design engaging German lessons, guided by the Swiss curriculum and the pedagogical approach of SIS. • You will promote the academic and personal development of the pupils and provide them with clear, constructive feedback. • You will communicate with parents about the children’s learning progress and well-being. • You will actively contribute to school life and the further development of the school. Your profile • You hold a recognised teaching diploma for primary education and have practical teaching experience. • You work with commitment, reliability, and high motivation. • You consistently align your teaching with clear learning objectives and apply creative approaches. • You reflect on your work and are interested in current developments and the future of education. • You have native-level German skills and good English skills. • You enjoy working in an international, bilingual school environment and value teamwork. • Teaching experience abroad or a longer stay abroad is an advantage.
