We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team at Volvo Energy as Lead BESS Electrical Design Engineer.
What are we looking for in this specific role?
In this role, we are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer passionate about electrification and energy transition. You will play a key role in developing electrical design solutions for BESS turnkey projects and bringing our future products and offers to market.
You are a structured and solution-oriented team player who works effectively with customers, grid owners, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional project teams to deliver safe, compliant, and buildable solutions.
Responsibilities include:• Produce and maintain the complete BESS site design package in AutoCAD, including single-line diagrams, site layouts, cable sizing and routing, cable schedules, and equipment lists.• Define the protection philosophy and settings and coordinate protection interfaces across the BESS, site, and grid connection.• Design earthing and lightning protection systems.• Define the metering strategy, including metering points, equipment, and grid owner and revenue-metering requirements.• Support in the plant control and communication strategy covering inter
