募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明 The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) at the International University of Japan (IUJ) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Accounting at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The appointment will begin in September 2027. Established in 1982, IUJ was Japan’s first graduate-only university and remains one of the few institutions where all instruction is conducted entirely in English. Located in Minamiuonuma, Niigata, the campus is conveniently located just a 90-minute bullet-train ride from Tokyo. For further details about GSIM, please visit https://www.iuj.ac.jp/gsim/. 仕事内容・職務内容 [Qualifications & Responsibilities] Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Accounting (or Finance with a strong accounting emphasis) prior to the appointment start date. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the following MBA courses: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Financial Statement Analysis. Professional licenses and industry experience are preferred, but not required. All instruction is conducted in English. Proficiency in Japanese is not required. [Teaching Load, Compensation, & Support] The standard teaching load is four 8-week courses per academic year (totaling 96 classroom hours). Salary and benefits are aligned with Japanese academic standards, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
