Solid Waste Management Consultant

About the Role We are looking for experienced Solid Waste Management Consultants to support the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in planning, implementation, monitoring and improvement of municipal solid waste management and sanitation initiatives under Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 and Swachh Survekshan. Key Responsibilities Provide technical and advisory support to MCD for implementing Solid Waste Management and sanitation initiatives. Assess existing municipal waste management systems and identify operational and technical gaps. Support implementation of scientific waste management practices, including door-to-door waste collection, source segregation, processing and disposal. Monitor ward-wise performance of waste collection, source segregation and Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs). Support implementation of SBM 2.0, Swachh Survekshan, ODF+, ODF++ and Garbage Free City (GFC) initiatives. Prepare monthly action plans, technical reports, progress reports and presentations. Monitor the performance and contractual compliance of waste management concessionaires. Provide technical inputs for improving municipal sanitation infrastructure and operational efficiency. Coordinate with MCD officials and other relevant stakeholders. Support capacity-building programmes and training for municipal personnel. Required Qualifications & Experience Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Solid Waste Management, sanitation or SBM-related projects. Practical knowledge of municipal solid waste management systems. Experience working with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), municipal corporations or government agencies. Good understanding of SBM guidelines and Swachh Survekshan assessment practices. Preferred Skills Municipal waste management planning. Knowledge of Solid Waste Management Rules.
