More than 5 years of hands-on mobile development experience in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) or e-commerce environment, including at least 5 years of professional Flutter and Dart experience. Strong proficiency in Flutter, Dart , state management frameworks ( BLoC, Provider, and Riverpod ), and the development of complex custom UI components. Proven experience with complex microservices architectures, GraphQL , and REST API integrations. Ability to translate Figma designs into responsive, production-ready Flutter code , collaborate with designers, and align technical solutions with business objectives. Proven ability to collaborate with backend and web engineering teams, resolve implementation challenges, and define and scope Jira tickets. Strong documentation skills and experience maintaining centralized, cross-functional engineering documentation. Set Yourself Apart: Preferred Qualifications Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines (Codemagic, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions) and automated application distribution. Advanced knowledge of state management techniques and architectural patterns, including Clean Architecture. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, backlog-driven team environment while collaborating with stakeholders across product, engineering, and legal. Strong coding fundamentals and ability to collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to solve complex problems and develop effective solutions. Agile mindset, adaptability, and ability to respond effectively to evolving requirements and priorities. 1+ years of experience in an agency or client-facing environment. Previous experience in DTC, fashion, or high-growth e-commerce environments. Experience developing native mobile e-commerce applications, with familiarity with Shopify Storefront API and custom checkout constraints considered an advantage. Experience integrating headless content management systems (CMS), particularly Sanity, to support dynamic content delivery within mobile applications. Your Daily Tasks Flutter app development and backlog clearance: Develop, test, and document mobile features using Flutter and Dart. Manage and clear the active development backlog while prioritizing speed, performance, and user experience. Figma-to-code implementation: Translate new feature designs into pixel-perfect, responsive mobile UI components. Manage frontend development from Figma design through QA sign-off. API and microservices integration: Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices into mobile applications. Ensure seamless data flow and effective error handling. State management and architecture: Maintain scalable application architecture and robust state management solutions, including BLoC and Riverpod, to ensure code stability and maintainability. Performance profiling: Monitor and optimize application performance, frame render times, and memory usage to deliver smooth, native-like experiences across iOS and Android. Cross-platform parity: Collaborate with web teams to maintain feature parity and consistent user experiences across web and native mobile platforms. App store deployment: Manage application releases to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including CI/CD pipelines, provisioning profiles, and version control. Intake and refinement participation: Participate in weekly refinement sessions to assess incoming epics and tickets for mobile impact, assign technical labels, and define the scope of new requirements. E-commerce and Shopify architecture: Build and maintain complex e-commerce workflows through Shopify Storefront API, including product catalogs, carts, checkout processes, and custom app session logic. Sanity CMS integration: Integrate Sanity CMS to deliver dynamic, content-driven mobile experiences and ensure seamless content updates within the application.
