About the Role As the company's first dedicated DevOps Engineer, you will take on a key position with significant technical ownership and strategic impact. You will combine hands-on engineering with responsibility for shaping and developing the company's DevOps function, becoming the go-to person for infrastructure, automation, deployment, and operational excellence. Working closely with the Software Engineering team and company leadership, you will review and improve the existing infrastructure, introduce best practices, drive technical decisions, and establish scalable DevOps processes to support the company's continued growth. You will have the autonomy to influence the company's technical direction, take ownership of infrastructure improvements, and define the DevOps strategy as the organization evolves. A key focus will be supporting the existing hybrid cloud environment while driving its transition toward a fully cloud-based infrastructure. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting production applications. Own and improve the software release and deployment process, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery to production. Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and automation frameworks. Manage and optimize Kubernetes and containerized environments. Improve system reliability, availability, monitoring, and observability across production environments. Support cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments. Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, system, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate closely with Software Engineering teams to improve deployment processes and platform capabilities. Contribute to infrastructure improvements, scalability initiatives, and cloud adoption efforts. Establish and continuously improve DevOps practices and processes as the company's first dedicated DevOps function. Requirements 3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or similar roles. Strong experience with Linux-based production environments and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments and major cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and modern deployment practices. Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (Terraform / Ansible or similar). Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes. Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools in production environments. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and production infrastructure. Nice to Have Experience with on-premises environments and virtualization technologies (VMware / Proxmox / KVM). Experience with bare-metal provisioning and infrastructure automation. Familiarity with storage technologies (Ceph / NFS / SAN). Knowledge of advanced networking concepts (VLANs / BGP / OSPF).
