Description du poste

About the job You'll build the data infrastructure, AI agent systems, and backend architecture that power our AI-driven commerce operations. Seongsu, Seoul · In-person · Full-time ABOUT ORBITERS Orbiters is an AI-powered brand operating group. We grow standout Korean consumer brands in the U.S. market on Amazon, Target Plus, Ulta Beauty, Macy's, TikTok Shop, and Faire. We also run our own U.S. store, Onzenna. WHAT YOU'LL DO We're building an AI-powered commerce operating system that connects data, identifies opportunities, and turns insights into actions across marketing, content, inventory, and brand operations. You'll work closely with our AX team, which defines business logic, data requirements, and AI use cases, and collaborate with our existing full-stack engineers to turn these into production-ready systems. Your focus will be on building reliable data infrastructure, reusable AI agent capabilities, and backend services that connect our data, AI models, and business operations. Design and build data pipelines that collect, transform, and integrate data from Amazon, Shopify, Meta, TikTok, and other commerce platforms. Build and maintain a unified data infrastructure, including data warehouses, schemas, and ETL/ELT pipelines, to support analytics and AI applications. Develop shared AI agent infrastructure, including reusable tools, APIs, orchestration workflows, and services that enable agents to access data and execute business tasks. Design and implement scalable Python-based backend services connecting data infrastructure, AI agents, and internal applications. Work with our AX team to turn business requirements into AI-powered workflows, automation, and decision-support systems. Implement logging, monitoring, testing, and deployment processes to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines and AI services. Collaborate with our AX, engineering, and growth teams to continuously improve how data and AI are used across the business. YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF you have 3+ years of experience in backend engineering, data engineering, or related software engineering roles. you're proficient in Python and SQL and have experience building production-grade applications. you've designed or implemented ETL/ELT pipelines, API integrations, or data processing workflows. you understand relational databases, data modeling, and cloud-based data infrastructure. you've developed backend APIs or services using frameworks such as FastAPI or Django. you're comfortable deploying and maintaining applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms. you can independently design technical architecture and turn requirements into reliable, working systems. you think systematically, solve problems independently, and enjoy building infrastructure from the ground up. you're interested in applying AI to real business problems, not just experimenting with models. Experience with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, and tools such as dbt or Airflow, is a plus. So is experience with LLM applications, AI agents, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, MCP, Docker, CI/CD, or workflow automation tools such as n8n. A degree in computer science, AI research experience, or expertise in a specific AI framework isn't the test. Strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on implementation experience, architectural thinking, and the ability to build reliable systems matter more. GOOD TO KNOW You'll work in a lean organization with frequent interaction with C-levels. You'll work closely with our AX team, which handles business logic, data requirements, and AI use cases, as well as our existing full-stack engineers. You'll take ownership of the technical foundation behind our AI-powered commerce operations, from data infrastructure to shared agent capabilities and backend services. We use AWS, Python, Django, n8n, and external AI services, and we're open to adopting better tools and frameworks as our systems evolve. This isn't a role focused on training large language models or conducting academic ML research. We want someone who can build the infrastructure that makes AI useful, reliable, and scalable in real business operations. WHAT WE OFFER Real-world impact. The infrastructure you build will power decisions and automation across U.S. marketplace operations, marketing, content, inventory, and brand growth. Room to build. You'll have meaningful ownership over technical architecture and the freedom to choose practical solutions, including managed services and external AI platforms. Direct feedback loops. We run the brands, the ads, the marketplace channels, and the store, so you can see how your systems translate into actual business outcomes. A weekly lunch and snack allowance on a corporate card, which as a rule each of us carries for business use. A performance bonus tied to your results, quarterly check-ins, and a formal review every six months with compensation and stock options on the table. A casual dress code. THE BASICS This is a full-time, in-person role at our office in Seongsu, Seoul, which runs in Korean and English. We offer competitive compensation, set with your experience and background in mind. You need to be legally eligible to work full-time in Korea already, through citizenship, permanent residence, or a visa that allows it. We aren't able to sponsor visas for applicants from outside Korea. HOW WE HIRE FOR THIS ROLE This role is open on a rolling basis. When we meet the right person, we move ahead instead of waiting for a set date. HOW TO APPLY Easy Apply is all we need and your resume is enough. If you've built data pipelines, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, or AI applications, GitHub repositories, architecture diagrams, or project examples are welcome. No cover letter is needed. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT We read every application, and if it looks like a match, we'll reach out for a short conversation. https://orbiters.co.kr/ Show more Show less
