Senior Murex Business Analyst (Korean Speaker)

Language: Korean and English Location: South Korea Employment: Permanent Model: On-Site Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Murex Business Analyst Lead to support a major capital markets technology programme in South Korea. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact between business users, technical teams and functional stakeholders , ensuring that user queries, system issues and operational challenges are effectively managed and resolved from an end-to-end perspective. This role requires strong capital markets domain knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and cross-functional business analysis experience , with the ability to engage directly with users, understand their requirements and coordinate the appropriate teams to deliver timely resolutions. Murex MX.3 experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory , provided the candidate demonstrates extensive capital markets expertise and the ability to manage complex issues across trading and banking systems. The candidate must be fluent in Korean and willing to be based in South Korea for an agreed period to support direct engagement with local business users. Key Responsibilities: Cross-Functional Business Analysis: Lead business analysis activities across Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office functions, ensuring effective coordination between business users and technical delivery teams. Business User Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for business users, gathering requirements, understanding queries and providing clear, timely responses. End-to-End Issue Resolution: Own and coordinate the resolution of user queries and system issues, ensuring appropriate teams are engaged and issues are tracked through to completion. Capital Markets Functional Support: Apply strong financial markets knowledge to investigate trading, risk, operations and post-trade processing issues. Murex Functional Coordination: Work with Murex functional consultants, developers, technical specialists and support teams to investigate issues and implement appropriate solutions. Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Translate business requirements, operational challenges and user feedback into functional specifications, actionable tasks and improvement initiatives. Stakeholder Management: Establish strong working relationships with local Korean business users, project managers, technical teams and senior stakeholders. Issue Investigation & Escalation: Analyse functional and operational issues, identify root causes where possible and coordinate escalations to the appropriate subject matter experts. Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate communication between Front Office, Risk, Operations, IT and external vendors to ensure effective issue management. Testing & Validation: Support functional testing, SIT/UAT and business validation to confirm that implemented solutions address user requirements. Issue Tracking & Reporting: Maintain visibility of outstanding issues, progress, dependencies and resolutions, providing regular updates to business and project stakeholders. On-Site Business Support: Work directly with local teams in South Korea, facilitating communication and overcoming language barriers between Korean-speaking users and international delivery teams. Requirements: Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst or Functional Lead within capital markets, investment banking or financial markets technology. Extensive capital markets domain knowledge , with a strong understanding of trading products, transaction lifecycles and front-to-back business processes. Proven experience managing cross-functional business requirements and issue resolution across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office and technology teams. Excellent business user engagement and stakeholder management skills , with the ability to communicate directly with users and manage expectations effectively. Demonstrated ability to own issues from initial identification through investigation, escalation and final resolution . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business issues and engage the appropriate technical or functional specialists. Experience working with trading platforms, treasury systems or capital markets applications , preferably Murex MX.3. Murex functional experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory , provided the candidate possesses sufficient capital markets knowledge to drive effective issue resolution. Strong understanding of financial products such as FX, Money Markets, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income and other OTC derivatives would be advantageous. Experience with requirements gathering, functional specifications, process analysis, SIT/UAT and production issue management. Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, prioritise outstanding issues and ensure timely delivery of resolutions. Fluency in Korean is essential , alongside professional English communication skills. Willingness to be stationed in South Korea for an agreed period is mandatory.
