SVP - Senior Business Analyst (Big Data / Datawarehouse)

A banking institution is seeking a senior, strategic Business Analyst to lead the translation of complex big data capabilities into measurable business value. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, and analytics — shaping requirements, driving data-driven decision-making, and ensuring that large-scale data investments deliver tangible commercial outcomes. You will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to define , prioritise initiatives, and deliver enterprise-grade big data solutions. Key Responsibilities • Define and drive the business analysis strategy for big data programmes, aligning data initiatives with enterprise objectives. • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary bridge between business leaders and technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear data requirements and solution designs. • Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional design for large-scale data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, streaming pipelines, analytics products). • Commercial Insight: Develop business cases, ROI models, and KPI frameworks to measure the value of data investments. • Delivery Oversight: Drive programme delivery across cross-functional teams, managing risks, dependencies, and timelines in agile and hybrid environments. • Change & Adoption: Champion data literacy and adoption, ensuring analytics outputs are embedded into business decision-making. Requirements • 15+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or consulting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. • Proven track record delivering large-scale big data/datawarehouse or analytics programmes in a complex enterprise environment. • Good understanding of big data technologies and or Datawarehouse and data modelling concepts. • Strong command of SQL, data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI), and analytical methodologies. • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. • Experience with agile delivery, data governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PDPA).
