Electrical Safety Coordinator

Job Title: Electrical Safety Coordinator Job Description Take charge of electrical safety standards on high-stakes construction sites in the Geylang and Eunos area. Key Responsibilities • Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations and codes of practice, including guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements. • Monitor adherence to the company safety policies and statutory requirements. • Conduct and review risk assessments for electrical activities. • Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures. • Ensure safe work procedures are established and followed. • Supervise electrical works on-site to ensure safety compliance. • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and workers on electrical safety matters. • Ensure only qualified and licensed personnel perform electrical work. • Carry out routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations. • Ensure proper maintenance of electrical infrastructure (e.g., switchboards, cables, generators). • Highlight and rectify unsafe conditions promptly. • Administer and control electrical permit-to-work systems. • Ensure proper lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures are implemented before work begins. • Investigate electrical incidents, accidents, and near misses. • Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions. • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions on electrical safety. • Promote a strong safety culture among all site personnel. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, risk assessments, and incidents. • Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.
