Project Management Officer

• Excellent Professional Development • Attractive and Competitive Remuneration Package • Gain Valuable Exposure to the Banking and Financial Services Industry As a Project Management Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties: • Work closely with business units to develop detailed business cases, project proposals and cost-benefit assessments to support funding applications. • Compile and present Applications for Approval (AFA) to the relevant approval committees and governance bodies. • Review project proposals to ensure compliance with local and global governance standards and approval requirements. • Liaise with stakeholders to address queries, clarify requirements and facilitate timely approval decisions. • Manage the end-to-end governance process for IT system changes, ensuring all necessary reviews, approvals and sign-offs are secured before implementation. • Ensure adherence to established change management policies, procedures and governance frameworks. • Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to monitor change requests and maintain accurate documentation throughout the approval process. • Monitor compliance with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and change control procedures. • Act as the primary liaison between local teams and Head Office on project governance, portfolio reporting and approval matters. • Ensure local project initiatives are aligned with corporate strategies, governance policies and reporting requirements. • Engage business units, IT teams and senior stakeholders to address governance-related matters and support effective decision-making. • Prepare project status reports, governance updates and relevant documentation for management review. Requirements: • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in PMO, project management or business analysis within the banking or financial services sector. • Strong knowledge of IT project governance, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management frameworks, with hands-on experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence or ServiceNow.
