Accountant - Trading /Marine Industry

Accountant | Commodity Trading & Shipping Our client in commodity trading and shipping is looking for a hands-on Accountant who can manage full sets of accounts independently. The role • Handle daily accounting, including bank transactions, AP, AR and reconciliations. • Manage full sets of accounts, journals, accruals and month-end closing. • Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules. • Handle GST returns and withholding tax filings. • Liaise with auditors and tax agents on audit and statutory requirements. • Maintain proper records and improve accounting processes and internal controls. What you’ll need • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field. • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with the ability to handle full sets with minimal supervision. • Knowledge of Singapore GST, withholding tax and statutory reporting. • Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems. • English and Mandarin proficiency to communicate with stakeholders. • Experience in commodity trading, shipping or maritime would be an advantage.
