Design Engineer (Architectural) Job Description Take command of complex architectural design coordination and streamline technical delivery for major infrastructure projects in Jurong East. Key Responsibilities • Support the Senior Design Manager in overseeing architectural works and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, LTA requirements, applicable standards and safety and environmental regulations. • Coordinate and track design submissions, approvals and drawing schedules in line with the project programmed and construction progress. • Coordinate design matters with LTA, relevant authorities, consultants, subcontractors and project teams. • Review architectural drawings, BIM models, technical submissions and design deliverables for completeness, accuracy and coordination with other disciplines. • Manage design issues relating to BIM, technical requirements, contract obligations and cost. • Review subcontractors shop drawing and material submissions to confirm they meet the approved design, specifications and LTA project requirements. • Identify design clashes, discrepancies and potential construction issues and coordinate their timely resolution. • Monitor architectural work progress and coordinate design information required to support site activities. • Maintain design records, submission logs and document control in accordance with project procedures. Job Requirements • You must possess a Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or a related field. • You must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design coordination or construction supervision. • Experience working on LTA projects is preferred for this role. • You should be familiar with LTA design coordination, submission and approval processes. • Possession of experience with building projects and within a construction company is an advantage. • You must have good knowledge of architectural and structural details, construction methods and design coordination. • You must demonstrate familiarity with BIM and the review of technical submissions and shop drawings. • You should possess strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
