Contract Application Engineer (Power Generation, Diesel Gensets) #HCG

A global leader in power generation solutions is seeking an Application Engineer to deliver technical solution engineering for large-scale data centre power projects across the Asia Pacific region. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects with an established engineering team. What You'll Be Doing • Work closely with the sales team to define technical scope and review customer specifications and tender documents • Provide technical specifications and define the scope of supply for genset equipment and enclosures • Coordinate with the factory and local suppliers to align scope of supply and obtain timely quotations • Define and develop electrical and mechanical system requirements for walk-in genset enclosures in line with project specifications • Deliver end-to-end design solutions, including electrical, automation and mechanical designs supported by engineering drawings and documentation • Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations to verify designs and support equipment and supplier selection • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements • Review and approve technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, P&IDs and datasheets • Finalise equipment scope, align with procurement and raise purchase requisitions • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across electrical, automation and mechanical systems during project execution • Support site installation, testing and commissioning together with customers and project teams • Drive continuous improvement through design reviews and lessons learned What You'll Bring • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and above • At least 1 to 2 years of engineering experience; candidates from power generation, data centre, marine, automation or oil and gas sectors are welcome • Knowledge of electrical or mechanical genset systems (automation, protection, cooling, fuel or ventilation) is an advantage • Able to perform engineering calculations such as load flow, cooling and ventilation • Experience preparing or reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation • Comfortable coordinating with customers, suppliers and internal project teams • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools is an advantage • Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deliverables • Able to travel regionally when required What's In It For You • Project completion bonus • 14 days annual leave • Medical benefits • Exposure to large-scale regional data centre projects • Work with an established global engineering team Interested?
