Description du poste

Applications are invited for a part-time Administrator to join the University of Southampton and support an exciting nationally leading research programme funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The NIHR Maternity Disparities Consortium is a £50 million national initiative bringing together organisations with expertise in research, capacity development and working with people and communities. The Consortium aims to improve maternity outcomes and develop future research leaders, with research focusing on inequalities before, during and after pregnancy. You will join the Preconception and Interpregnancy Health Theme, which is evaluating a new system-wide blueprint for preconception and interpregnancy care and support. Working as part of the team, you will provide effective day-to-day administrative support to the Theme leadership and wider team. This will include helping to maintain well-organised administrative systems and processes, supporting meetings and activities, maintaining records and documentation, and assisting with the coordination of Theme activities across England and Northern Ireland. We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and approachable, with good communication and administrative skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. You will be comfortable working with colleagues across different organisations and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team. This is a part-time (0.2 FTE) fixed-term appointment until 31 May 2028, in the first instance. This is a 7-hour-per-week hybrid role. There may be flexibility in how these hours are worked, for example across one full day or two shorter days, and we would be happy to discuss suitable working arrangements at interview. Subject to NIHR review and continued funding, there may be opportunities for elements of the research programme to continue beyond this date. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Desi Baramova (D.Baramova@soton.ac.uk)
