About the Position: This position is located at Army Health Clinic Presidio, DIR of Branch Clinics, Patient Administration Service, Monterey, CA. Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
Review clinical records in preparation for the correspondence to be distributed to corresponding agencies.
Conduct search of old and current records to establish continuity of patient's history.
Use electronic software and printing equipment to generate correspondence.
Review correspondence for correct spelling, grammar, format, clarity of expression, accuracy and consistency of facts, and appropriate tone before distribution.
Write routine factual correspondence to provide information between agencies.
Generate a vast amount of correspondence, primarily in the form of memoranda and letters for distribution.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing tasks related to the composition or review of correspondence intended to obtain or supply information; handling both incoming and outgoing correspondence, operating electronic typewriters, word processors, microcomputers, or computer terminals to compose letters and/or memoranda. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute base
