You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the TRAVEL BRANCH (CODE 615), ACCOUNTING DIVISION, COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
You will assist in approving travel authorizations and vouchers in Defense Travel System (DTS).
You will perform studies or assist others with full-scale studies as they relate to the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Financial Management Regulations (FMR), and Defense Travel System (DTS).
You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting or financial administrative procedures, practices and regulations.
You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems.
You will perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying policies and guidelines pertaining to Financial Management Regulations (FMR) and the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Experience correcting errors and coding records using financial systems, such as Defense Travel System (DTS). Experience compiling and summarizing financial information. Experience managing, analyzing and preparing financial reports. Experience researching regulatory material to obtain factual information. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying policies and guidelines pertaining to Financial Management Regulations (FMR) and the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Experience correcting errors and coding records using financial systems, such as Defense Travel System (DTS). Experience compiling and summarizing financial information. Experience managing, analyzing and preparing financial reports. Experience researching regulatory material to obtain factual information.
