You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
You will provide advice/guidance and technical direction to engineers and technicians through grade level GS-12.
You will ensure timely, technically accurate, execution of complex design projects, document or drawing development or planning projects.
You will perform engineering studies to determine system requirements, modifications, repairs or specifications.
You will check work in progress of assigned projects, and provide timely reporting of status, improvement of actions, and resource requirements.
You will make engineering studies of assigned work to determine overall requirements such as component size and capability, arrangement, special material, and work involvement of other codes.
You will make investigations aboard ship to obtain information for development of or determine adaptability of working plans.
You will assume responsibility and authority for the technical adequacy, accuracy, and timely execution of complex design projects.
You will prepare or direct preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications or other engineering products in support of Navy or other customer requirements.
You will provide complete, technically correct analysis of work package requirements to resolve technical issues or develop engineered solutions to problems related to complex systems or equipment.
You will approve, monitor, and provide technical oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :
FOR GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer planning and coordinating engineering projects; developing technical work documents, technical drawings and correspondence; and ensuring project work meets technical standards and compliance. FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer coordinating engineering projects; developing technical work documents, technical drawings and correspondence; or ensuring project work meets technical standards and compliance.
