Serving as CIO and under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Administration, the incumbent as the principal adviser to NTIA leadership on all matters concerning the management of information resources and systems, including strategic initiatives that strengthen NTIA's operations and program outcomes through advanced IT solutions. PRINCIPALES MISSIONS : This role is responsible for the oversight of NTIA's information technology infrastructure, ensuring that all technology projects and systems are aligned with the organization's mission and contribute to the improvement and excellence of its services and operational effectiveness. The CIO's primary objective is to enhance NTIA's program delivery by utilizing technology to foster innovation, drive improvements, and ensure the successful execution of agency programs. The CIO responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leading NTIA in managing information resources efficiently across the bureau's IT portfolio by advocating for cross-organizational program process improvements, ensuring program processes are optimized to fully leverage IT solutions, developing and promoting standards-based IT, enabling cost-efficient and effective use of IT, and adhering to principles of effective IT capital planning and investment control (CPIC). Promoting and shaping an effective strategic and operational IT planning process that integrates the budget process, implements priorities established by NTIA and fully integrates NTIA's and the Department's strategic plans. Developing, issuing, monitoring, and enforcing compliance with policies, guidance, and standards applicable to all IT hardware, software, and telecommunications in NTIA. Supporting Spectrum National Security Systems (SNSS) program modernization initiative by implementing new and modified systems within the NTIA IT infrastructure in coordination and collaboration with the SNSS Program Manager. Advising NTIA leadership, in partnership with other senior managers, to promote innovative technology solutions and facilitate management access to essential information resources for effective decision-making. Demonstrated ability to lead the identification, implementation, and evaluation of transformative technology solutions and IT shared services within federal government IT laws, regulations, and policies.
