About the Position: This position is located within the Ireland Army Health Clinic at Fort Knox, KY. Serves as Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist responsible is a Medical Treatment Facility, responsible for facility management operations locally and throughout a large servicing area. Plan and coordinate requirements and complex projects to maintain patient care buildings. PRINCIPALES MISSIONS : Comprehensive management of a medical facility, including overseeing complex maintenance projects for patient care buildings and managing critical systems. Supervisory responsibilities of civilian and contracted staff. Manage facility resources, including service contracts and finances, and implementing robust risk and safety programs for medical, fire, and physical security. Coordinate with various internal and external groups, like contractors and civil engineers, to ensure the successful completion of all facility work. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes managing Medical facilities, joint commissions audits, schedules, utilities management, safety, custodial services, maintenance contracts, and service orders; tracking program funding and providing feedback to the senior management on budget execution; and conducting inspections of contracted work and implementing any corrective actions, implementing Joint Commission duties to ensure compliance with medical facility standards through meticulous inspections and thorough audits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
