This physician position is located within the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), EHRM Integration Office (EHRM-IO), within the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA). The VA EHRM-IO is responsible for ensuring that VA successfully prepares for, deploys, transitions to, and sustains a new Electronic Health Record system. EHRM-IO will ensure the modernized EHR system is positioned to meet VA needs and enable seamless delivery of health care to Veterans and qualified beneficiaries. PRINCIPALES MISSIONS : VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting The incumbent provides oversight of all deployment, transition, and sustainment activities within the VA, VHA, EHRM-IO, Office, Veterans Integrated Services Networks, facility leadership teams, and stakeholders to address lifecycle management of the EHR system. The incumbent must work across workstreams and organization for successful sustainment of the solutions. In this position, s/he manages people, processes, and materials necessary to maintain operations that meet EHRM-IO organizational objective. In addition to the general responsibilities described below, s/he must maintain accountability for sustainment of local, regional, and enterprise resources scattered across the VA. It is essential the incumbent communicate across the enterprise to achieve program effectiveness and maintain the EHRM-IO's guiding principles: - Understanding business needs across the enterprise - Expertise in IT Service Management concepts including incident, change, event, problem, and account management - Prioritize issues with cross-functional enterprise impact - Develop strategies to mitigate risk to enterprise systems - Continuous improvement mindset to support VA mission and vision across workstreams - Knowledge of enterprise EHRM and integrated non-EHRM systems- Able to deliver strategic program communications and EHRM sustainment updates - Previous experience leading large-scale EHR sustainment efforts across multiple facilities is preferred. Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES : To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement.
