About the Position: Serve as a nursing primary technical expert and educational consultant for the Practical Nurse Course (PNC) 68C Program for the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence, located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. ***This position is NOT entitled to Title 38 Premium Pay. This position is not in a clinical setting and not seeing patients. This position is classroom training for battlefield medicine.***
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
Assists the PNC Branch Director in development of the 52-week Practical Nurse Course Program of Instruction (POI) (curriculum).
Evaluates existing curriculum to ensure the most updated information is included.
Recommends approval of substitution of materials to improve content presentation.
Submits request for procurement of education supplies or equipment.
Reviews instructional materials (i.e., lesson plans, student handouts, practical exercises, power point presentations, etc.) of novice instructors assigned to the department.
