You will serve as a PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the RADIATION HEALTH DIVISION, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
You will Perform liaison functions within and outside the shipyard (e.g., Shipyard management and Naval Dosimetry Center).
You will input necessary exposure control information into the Automated Radiological Controls Management Information System (ARCMIS).
You will record radiation exposure data in the occupational health record and review radiation exposure data present in the record for completeness and accuracy.
You will troubleshoot equipment and/or software issues associated with the internal monitoring equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specilaized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-06 *Generates and reviews for accuracy a variety of radiological control reports from ARCMIS. *Performs monitoring of personnel for internal deposition of radioactivity. *Prepares and reviews personnel exposure reports on a regular basis to be sent to NAVSEA, Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), parent activities of visitors, and individual workers. *Reviews personnel exposure information for individuals and for specific jobs. *Investigates and then compiles an historical exposure record for each new radiation worker.
